When my Okie girlfriends were down a couple of weeks ago, we crammed 2 of my favorite Florida activities into 1 day. Looking back we should have maneuvered our schedule so we could enjoy ample time at the Gator Park and at the BEACH! Regardless, we still made priceless memories!
McTreaty is not one to miss out on a gator trip so he joined us girls!
The glades were a popular place to be, so we had a bit of a wait which of course means photo ops!
Our boat captain was a tad on the cray-cray side and did a few sharp turns...scarier than usual when you know what is lurking in the waters below!
The scenery in the Everglades is honestly like nothing I've ever seen before! Fun fact: the tall grasses are called sawgrass because it's extremely sharp like a saw. We were advised not to reach our hands out and touch it!
Some rare turtle that sadly will probably be a gator snack soon...
We got very close and saw so many alligators this trip! (I had this picture printed with a metallic finish and it looks awesome!)
The captain tapped one of the alligators with a pole, making it jump out of the water towards us...scariest.moment.ever!
Due to our late start to the day, we skipped the gator show and headed straight to the beach!
We could not have had a more perfect day!
McTreaty joined our beach fun too!

I had envisioned a little craft night with us making momento jars with our sand, shells, and a black and white pic. They officially have a homework project now!

Haley, McTreaty, and I entertained ourselves for awhile jumping over the waves! I'm not sure why no one else would join us!
Katie and Jenn wouldn't join us on the rock either...

We seriously had the best seafood and salads ever!! We had every intention of going out after dinner, but the thought of the 5:30 am wake up call and the fact that we were exhausted and stuffed led us home to bed...we are old!

I think it took me a full week to fully recover from our fabulous Florida weekend, but I would do it every weekend if I could! I can't wait for them to come back!!

Yikes, I don't think I could do the gator cruise!! Have you ever done the Star Island celeb house tour? I'm such a dork, when I visited Miami that was the highlight of my trip! :)
