Visions of Cherry Limeades have been swirling in my head this summer. After my extensive google research, I finally came up with the perfect combination. (This was serious business you know!)
The ingredients: Grenadine (which I read is more flavorful than regular cherry syrup), limes, diet 7-up or sprite (diet only because I'm SO healthy...read sarcastically!), and cherries if you like them...I don't.
For every 8 ounces of 7-up add 2 Tablespoons of grenadine and limes to taste. Clearly, I researched for hours to come up with this complex recipe! Haha!
Even McTreaty thought it was refreshing and fabulous (he usually just sticks Diet Coke). Although, after weed eating in 100 + degree heat, I'm sure anything cold would taste lovely, but I took the compliment and went with it!
I'm now officially addicted and feel like I could definitely give Sonic a run for their money! :)

I'm so happy I found this recipe! There are NO Sonics in Canada (total tragedy in my opinion :-) and I will definitely be making these as a regular summer bevie!!
This looks like a slight upgrade from the diet cherry 7-up I'm so addicted to :) I haven't tried it with lime though, I might have to try a concoction... ever added vodka to this?

I'm not a huge fan of 7-UP or Sprite, so I substituted Ginger Ale and it was AMAZING!!! I also used store-bought lime juice instead of fresh lime (only because it was 10pm and I didn't have any). I think I will try fresh lime next time. I love Sonic ONLY because of their Cherry Limeade... thanks for this little taste of heaven!

This is a Shirley Temple minus the maraschino cherries with added limes. They are super yummy!
